Getting Here
By Air:
From Delhi Airport (DEL): The most convenient way to reach us is by flying into Delhi, then traveling by road. From Delhi, it’s about a 10-hour drive to Almora.
From Pantnagar Airport (PGH): If you prefer a shorter drive, Pantnagar is about 4.5 hours away by car and is an ideal entry point for a quicker connection to Almora.
Private Car Service:
To ensure your comfort, we offer a private car service at an additional cost. Our experienced drivers will pick you up from either Delhi or Pantnagar airport and take you directly to The Magnolia Lodge & Spa. If you'd like to reserve the car service, please contact us with your arrival details.
By Train:
If you prefer a scenic train ride, you can take a train from Delhi to Kathgodam. From Kathgodam, we can arrange for a private car to take you to Almora (about a 3-hour drive). The train offers a comfortable and picturesque way to experience the region before heading to the lodge.

The Journey
Whether you’re traveling by car or train, the drive to Almora offers beautiful views of the Kumaon Hills. We recommend planning for regular stops to stretch and enjoy the scenery. There are several places along the route where you can find restrooms and food:
For a rest stop: Gajraula is a great place to take a break between Delhi and Almora. You’ll find a few clean restaurants including KFC and Starbucks where you can enjoy a meal or snack.
For fuel: There are also service stations along the way, but we suggest filling up the tank before leaving major cities to avoid any shortages in more remote areas.
Tips for the Drive
Time of travel: The roads leading to Almora are winding and may take longer than expected, especially in hilly areas. We recommend taking breaks and driving during daylight for a more comfortable experience.
Weather: Check the weather forecast before you set out, as heavy rains can sometimes make roads slippery, especially during monsoon season (June to September).
